For budget meals best to buy your own and cook at Youth Hostel. Nearby pub looked to have really good food but a bit more expensive. |

Port Charlotte Hotel on a Sunday and possibly Wednesday had excellent live folk music!! |

Mini Market just along the road makes the best coffee and the girl is so friendly. Holy Coo is also good value and the best setting. |

The beach at Kilmanoch and the American Monument is worth seeing - distilleries of course - Ardbeg has the best visitor centre. |
