HI Hostel Pontarlier

Welcome to Pontarlier – Town center & altitude. In the centre of the town of Pontarlier, this renovated hostel is well suited to families. It is a pleasant place to stay with comfortable rooms (all equipped with showers and lavatories and some with toilets). The hostel’s warm ambiance brings together authenticity and gastronomy – let us know what you think of the hot Mont d’Or cheese and Morteau sausage… The Ski area There are so many cross-country skiing trails in the Haut Doubs that you can’t help but go for a long trek. 32 loops for all levels let everybody explore the region and perfect their skiing style, whether classical or skating. The 175 km of the Grande Traversée du Jura also run through this region; you won’t be able to resist its charms! With 40 km of slopes, the Métabief ski area on the slopes of Mont d’Or, the summit of the Doubs, has something for everyone: slopes for all tastes and all levels, a snowpark, a luge track, a fully equipped and secured ski area accessible to the whole family.
