Kraków - Grochowa, Catherine, England & Wales:
Auschwitz-Birkenau; everyone should visit this! Easy to get to by bus from train station. Use shuttle bus between the two concentration camps. Make sure you don't miss blocks 4 and 5 at Auschwitz - chilling but interesting. Also there's one block dedicated to the Jews who organised a resistance in the camp - easy to miss, but definitely worth seeking out. Takes the majority of a day to get a good knowledge of both camps. |
