29 Aug 2010 Ilaria, Italy:
In addition, the room doors are fire doors, quite heavy to open (however if you're paraplegic or similar, with no problems at your arms, you should manage to open them). There's a bathroom for disabled people at 1st floor. It's quite large and confortable, except for the sink: to use it, you have to press with your hand a very very hard "button", which activates only few seconds of water a time. I couldn't use it at all, but luckily there was a sink in the room, so I used that one. The shower is quite accessible. The shower surface is not exactly at same level of the floor, but few mm further down. If you ask the staff for a chair to use in the shower, they'll give you a wooden chair. |
