Funky shops behind the church Saint Julien(?) le Pauvre, on other side of the river to Notre Dame (go to your right when facing the main entrance of the cathedral, cross the river, continue round to laneways at the back of the church) |

Nancy is surprisingly quick to get to from Paris and should be a must stop over for anyone heading to Strasbourg and beyond. The "Place Stanislas" alone is worth the stop over (in fact its only a 15 walk from the rail station, so you could see the place with just a 2 hour stay - although I would recom a night's stay at least). |

Notre Dame! That cathedral will swipe you off you feet, so beautiful and goregeous! If you're interested in French music, films and books, visit the "fnac"-store in Chatelet les halles - we've spent hours there! |

| HI Hostel Paris - Jules Ferry Placed in a historic district and popular but quiet of the city of Paris, This hostel is near numerous tourist attractions and a few minutes walk from several metro and bus lines. An ideal base to discover our city. For those who like to go out late, there are buses stopping near the hostel all night.
Children under 18 staying unaccompanied at the hostel will need an authorization from a parent or guardian.
