29 Jun 2009 Joel, Israel:
The 'Casino' supermarket in the opposite direction from the hostel once you exit the metro has gourmet grocery food that can be cooked and eaten in the hostel or taken for a picnic in town. One can have a decent meal and a great bottle of wine for less than 10 euros if he doesn't mind missing out on the restaurant atmosphere and service. Otherwise, the nice restaurants (featuring a variety of Lebanese, Asian, and French food) are quite a walk from the hostel and not terribly cheap, so I didn't even try them. |
