The Casino grocery store a few blocks down the street is a lot better then the two across the street.

walking through montmartre. not just the street up to the sacre coeur and that part, but actually walking the neighborhood. it's incredible. also, make sure you go on the 3.5 hour walking tour offered by Sandemans. It starts at the St. Michael statue right across the river from the Notre Dame Cathedral and is actually, literally FREE! the tour guides are incredibly informed, funny, appropriately irreverent, and you can meet interesting people in your tour group, should you need fellow travelers to expand your visiting party.
