To travel to Paranagua, you will pass Curitiba (either by bus or by train, which is also a highly recommended trip!) This spotless, clean, green and well-organised city is also worth a stay when you have a few days extra to spend. |

Vovo Virginia, a tearoom so not a fine restaurant but they have good coffee and a variety in teas and juices, cakes and pastries. The ladies behind the counter don't speak English but are very helpful. Other reco is to eat on the first floor of the mercado municipal, where fresh fish is served! |

Ilha do Mel, but as it is in all travel guides, this is probably the reason of your visit to Paranagua. However, if you have the time to stay one or two nights extra in Paranagua, you will find the friendliness of the people and laid back atmosphere of this little town. |
