There were some lovley local walks in the woods around so if you wanted to stretch your legs betwene flights it was a very good place.

There were plenty of local hotels in which to get a bite to eat in the evening. The hostel provided a great breakfast for an extra 8=10Euro or so

The hotel itself sold some snacks such as pizza and chips for a pretty reasonable price. I guess for a more filling meal (by Norway's standard), travellers could try to get some food at the airport first before heading to the motel. Pizza at peppes pizza was good and cost 99NOK. (It's buffet by the way, so you could eat any amount of pizzas for that price)

HI Hostel Oslo Airport - Gardermoen

Located on the west side of Oslo Airport Gardermoen, about 5km from the terminal, Oslo Airport Hostel Gardermoen is set in the attractive surroundings of Gardermoen Cultural Park - home to the Ullensaker Museum, the Norwegian Armed Forces Aircraft Collection and the SAS Museum. The hostel has 92 comfortable rooms, all with shower, toilet, flat screen TV and a desk, and facilities include kitchen, laundry, Wi-Fi and Internet access. Oslo Airport Hostel Gardermoen also has a range of superior rooms with a kitchen equipped with hot oven plates, refrigerator and microwave, and eight 2 bedroom apartments for up to six people.
