The Open Tour (bus) in Nice is surprisingly good and takes you some amazing places you would never get to on foot. It's not very reliable at its timed stops, though. |

Climbing up to the waterfall through the park/former fortress area for an amazing view of Nice. Walking through old Nice early before it gets too crowded. Sitting on both the beach promenade and restaurant/cafe promenade to people watch. |

Don't stay at the promenade des anglais, but look further. Old Nice has some good places, but has a reputation for kitchens full of rats. |

For parties go to Vieux Nice.... the old part of town. Wayne's (always dancing on the tables) and Blue Whales (until the early hours). Thors is cool when you like live music. |
