Use the local buses at 1 euro per trip. Grasse (capital of perfume), St. Paul de Vence (famous hiltop village) and MONACO!!!!!!my favorite. |

2 supermarkets nearby(Monoprix and Casino) and a French bakery at 100m: near(but outside) Nice Etoile Shopping Centre. Try the local foodmarket near the station, it is cheaper than the one in old Nice. |

Antibes, for its cosy old town centre and its covered market with ancient vegetables and delicious olives, jams and sweets. Tourette-sur-loup(on your way to Grasse)for its lovely setting. Little restaurant ‘Fraise et Chocolat’ in medieval Roquebrune for its cheap delicious fresh hearty cakes and the interior. |

1 Euro takes you almost anywhere on the Cote D'Azur. the bus service is a little slow, but efficient, regular, easy to understand and a pleasant experience! |

Monoprix market in Etoile has a fine takeaway deli with hot food such as fish, meats and vegetable casseroles; not very inexpensive but better value than restaurants and featuring great French cuisine and manner. Hostel has good beer on tap as well as bottled Heineken and other selections. |
