Les Machines de l'Ile are a must see! So cool. Also, of course, the lovely Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne. Recommend the Nantes Pass (available at l'office de tourisme) which gives entry to many museums and some free food treats! |

On a Saturday night (St.Patrick`s day), the hotel had to close up the doors at 23 p.m. and nobody could enter after. For this night I had to change the hotel because I came to Nantes to see the city and to meet friends. |

Guests are not allowed in the hostel the whole time, even when you just want to cook in the "public kitchen" with a friend at normal day time. I do not want to speak about a little warm up drinking in the evening because this is the same |

HI Hostel Nantes - La ManuLocated in the heart of Nantes, hostel La Manu is housed in an old converted factory just a 15 minute walk from the city centre and 500m from the train station. The hostel is in a quiet area and provides a convenient gateway to the Loire Valley. Our accommodation includes rooms of 4 to 6 beds, and we offer a range of facilities including kitchen, bar, TV room, games room (with snooker table, table tennis and table football) and there is a laundry nearby. Breakfast is also included in the price so you can get a good start to your day. Hostel La Manu is a 10 minute walk from the beautiful botanical gardens of the Jardin des plantes de Nantes, and being so close to the city centre you can visit popular attractions including the Natural History Museum of Nantes and the Cathedral of St. Peter and St. Paul. Also make sure you visit the amazing ‘Machines of the Isle’, an art project where you will find bizarre, gigantic mechanical animals including a 12-metre-high elephant! | more...... |
