Nimes is nice to walk around, the Jardins de Fontaine are beautiful, but also it's great as a base for seeing the area by bus, very cheap! Edgard is 1.50 for any ticket, and Cartreize cheap also - you can go to Avignon, Arles, Pont du Gard or Stes Maries (the sea) for a fraction of the train cost. |

If you want to go to Pont Du Gard, go to the tourist office first to find out which bus to catch and the times, as they don't show this at all at the bus and train station. |
