01 Jan 2009 Whayong, England & Wales:
The silk workshops, factory and the markets. You can buy silk in meters or scraps for scrapbooks. Also try the hidden passages near Croix-Rousse, used by the silk workers to avoid bad weather. They lead you from one place to another! For the hidden passages and courtyards in Vieux Lyon, most people don't know where to find them since the passages look like houses. However, push every single door open or ring a separate bell not marked with a name or appartment number and the door will either open for public or not. In that way, we discovered the hidden Lyon!! |
