The Basilica Notre Dame de Fouviere Hill was spectacular, especially the decorations inside. You can see the whole city of Lyon from the outside of the basilica and it's free to go in. |

The Gallo-Romaine Museum, and the Lumiere Institute. I spent nearly an entire day in the latter, not just finding about about the history of the development of photography and film'making but seeing lots of films, including interviews with directors and their efforts with the Lumiere cinematograph. |
