HI Hostel LillehammerLillehammer Hostel is located at (above) the bus- and train station in the city centre of Lillehammer. An ideal starting point for shopping, attractions, restaurants, cafés, hiking and other great experiences Lillehammer can offer. The shopping street in Lillehammer is the heart of the town, and only 100 m walking distance from the hostel. All our rooms are equipped with shower, toilet, free wireless Internet and TV. Bed linen and towels are included in the price and we have made your bed before you arrive. Enjoy making your meals in our fully equipped guest kitchen. We offer free parking. Please note that renovations will take place during 2011. Guests may experience some noise on weekdays, from 07:00 to 15:00. We apologize for the inconvenience this would cause during your stay with us. From May 2011 onwards, check-in takes place in the main station building, next to the tourist office. Guests who have reserved room with breakfast will receive vouchers for breakfast, which will be served just 100 metres away at First Hotel Breiseth. It is possible to buy breakfast at arrival. Most of the sights like the open air museum Maihaugen, Lillehammer Art Museum, Sigrid Undsets home Bjerkebæk, the Olympic Museum and the Olympic Park is within walking distance. From the station there are buses leaving for the family park Hunderfossen and Lilleputthammer. In the wintertime you will find busses to the skiarea of Hafjell, Sjusjøen and Nordseter. Lillehammer has a lot of activities to offer. Lillehammer Ski Resorts is a cooperation including 5 ski centres. Hafjell Alpine centre is the ski centre situated nearest the hostel. Hafjell is located at the entrance of the Gudbrandsdalen valley, 15 km north of Lillehammer. Hafjell Alpine centre offers winner experiences for skiers of all levels. 16 lifts, including the Gondola, serves the 835 vertical metres from the base to the top of the mountain. The area offers a wide range of cross country skiing alternatives, including approx. 350 km. of prepared cross-country trails near Lillehammer.
