Cathedral, Guillemins station for its amazing modern architecture, the Sunday market for cheap fruit, veg, fish, meat and clothes. I walked by the river a lot, down to the Modern Art Museum which was good.

We came from Aachen which was a lovely city; Lindt chocolate factory shop, amazing cathedral, a lovely spa in a park, lots of old squares with nice buildings surrounding.

The hostel is a 5 minute walk from the buzz of the town centre, in a decidedly young and vibrant part of town. For those keen to explore, Liège (and specifically the hostel) is an ideal base from which to visit the major tourist cities in Belgium and Europe. Brussels, Bruges, Cologne, Maastricht…here you come!
