If you can swing it, rent a boat for 4 hours with 6 friends and do a 4 hour lake tour down to Cernobbio. Pack a picnic lunch and you will see more architecture than from land. On the way back do a quick lake tour around Bellagio. Great experience away from the maddening tourists for around 160 euros.
