HI Hostel La Rochelle

Hostel La Rochelle is a great place to stay if you’re looking to relax and explore the attractive and unspoilt maritime city of La Rochelle. Conveniently located between the old port and the beach, the hostel overlooks the Marina Minimes and is ideal for exploring the city and the islands of Ré, Oléron and Aix. Our accommodation includes 2, 3, 4 and 6 bedded rooms, and we offer a range of facilities including a large bar/common area with views of the marina, laundry, a relaxation area with TV and games, internet access and Wi-Fi. We provide breakfast, which is included in the price, and we offer a delicious affordable nightly dinner. Hostel La Rochelle is close to the local bus route that links travellers with the main railway station and the city centre, and just a 10 minute walk to the beach. While you’re here why not hire one of La Rochelle’s ‘yellow bikes’ and cycle around the city – the first 2 hours are free! Attractions to visit here include the aquarium, Fort Boyard, the Towers of La Rochelle, the Marais Poitevin wetlands, and the many museums of the city. You can access the rooms from 3:00pm after check-in. WARNING REFURBISHMENT WORKS From October 1st 2012 until April 2013, our hostel will be getting a facelift. Large-scale works (reception and catering areas, common halls) will be made. We will continue to welcome visitors but there will be reduced services : - no common relaxing space - no catering anymore (breakfast or dinner) - we cannot accept anything other than cash payments or by check Thank you for your understanding!
