There are quite a few temples near this location (all within a 15-20minute walk) including the very well known Kinkakuji (the golden temple). |

reduce the travel between kyoto JR station and hostel. it is almost an hour...! organize to travel around the hostel. |

For me, Kiyomizudera was the best(include small streets in front of Kiyomizudera) When I was in Kyoto, it was rainy, but I think you'd better have an experience 'rainy kyoto'!!! |

A more detailed map would have shown up more shops within a 15-min walk fr the hostel....the road leading to the nearby bus terminal for bus #26, #10. We managed to find local ramen, supermart, McDonalds', KFC, coffee joints etc |

Mt Fuji. stay in a YHA hostel near one of the lakes. authentic futon beds on cosy, friendly atmoshere . Lake is awesome and plenty of walking trails and great little resturants |
