There's not a lot to eat in Vik so enjoy the gas station. Otherwise there is a grocery market that has a nice selection of fresh fruits / veggies. |

Look up groups like mountainguides.is (I think that's their site) and go ice climbing on the glacier. Skogar isn't too far and there's a great waterfall and small museum to check out. |

The only restaurant in town (off-season) is at the petrol station and it closes at 7.30pm, so make sure you get there in time, otherwise there's nothing. |

Bonus. The nearest one I found is in Selfoss (if you're driving from Keflavik) so stock up. I also hear there was a good local place serving amazing soup near the swimming pool. |

| HI Hostel VíkDie Jugendherberge liegt in Vík, einem kleinen Dorf mit zirka 300 Einwohnern. Unser Haus bietet einen schönen Blick auf das Dorf und zum Angebot gehören Gästeküche und Speisesaal. Alles, was man braucht, findet man in der Nähe. Dyrhólaey ist nur 15 km entfernt und die Umgebung von Vík ist ideal für Wanderungen. Auch Museen und Golfplätze findet man hier.
