I had a "Agua de Coco" fresh coconut drink every day for 2 Reais on the square Terreiro de Jesus, in a little shop that has a coconut hanging in the entrance. That was the best price for coconuts I had anywhere. They also sell sugar cane juice for 1 Real, cooked banana for 1 Real, and have friendly staff who opened every coconut for me so I could eat the soft flesh inside with a spoon, this was just like one very healthy and satisfying meal. |
