The open-air Ethnographic Museum, it's a 30min bus ride from the city, but the forest by the lake it's set in is SOOOOOO beautiful and definitely worth the trip, take a picnic and make sure you go to the fishing village, the man there practically gave me my own personal tour - definitely the nicest Latvian person I met! The Museum of Occupation - it is unbelievable what the Latvian people have been through - before complaining they don't smile much visit this museum and you'll see why. I spent the whole afternoon here. |
