going to somewhere quiet is advisable after Osaka, preferably out in the rural areas because Osaka can be daunting, especially to someone new to that kind of environment so I would advise Hiroshima or Kyoto as Aomori would be too quiet and Tokyo too loud, too similar to Osaka |

Morning breakfast offered by the Youth Hostel is of excellent value that can only be beaten if you eat just a sandwich or two from outside. Nearby Family Mart provides cheap delicious food almost 24/7. So you can always store a midnight snack back in the YH fridge. |
