17 Mär 2011 Hans, Deutschland:
Take Edgard Busses from the Gare Routiere behind the SNCF station! It only costs 1,50 per trip e.g. to Arles or Avignon - train is ten times the price and just a little faster. Pont du Gard is free for people without a car. The Museum downstairs is very good. |

26 Mai 2011 Emily, Frankreich:
For a cheap beer (San Miguel = 2.50) go to the little Spanish bar near the Place aux Herbes (near the Notre Dame church)and watch a bullfight on their HD big screen. After visiting the arena, this was the thing to do to really visualize the event in all its gruesome detail without being there at the time of the feria. |

26 Mai 2011 Emily, Frankreich:
Another word about the location: it is possible to walk from the hostel to the Tour de Magne and down through the gardens, toward the centre ville, then pick up a bus and come back to the hostel (before 9pm or you'll walk up the mountain!). We did this when we arrived and loved it. Great way to orient yourself to the town and decide what you want to see in more detail. |

26 Mai 2011 Emily, Frankreich:
The Arena, with its audioguide tour (included in the entry price). Much better value than the arena at Arles because of its extensive information in a go-at-your-own-pace audioguide format. Really loved imagining what it would be like to be a gladiator back in the Roman days or a bullfighter/spectator in present times. Could not have been more pleased with this visit to the arena (especially after a disappointing, uninformative visit to the one in Arles.) |

09 Mai 2011 Mathura, Schottland:
Grau du Roi, Montpellier, a drink at sunset on the rooftop bar of the carre d'art |
