Nicht wirklich güstig, aber im Vergleich zu den Lokalen im Stadtzentrum schon preiswert, ruhig, mit schöner Atmosphäre und mit einem gutem Weinangebot und fantastischer Bedienung ist die Gostilna Livada (Hladnikova cesta 15, in der Nähe des Botanischen Gartens). Im Allgemeinen für Ljubljana gilt, je weiter von Zentrum, desto ruhigeres/schöneres Ambiente, angenehmere Preise und wahrscheinlich auch traditionelleres bzw. besseres Essen. Da gibt es im Stadtteil Trnovo andere interessante Lokale. Eine andere Empfehlung ist die Gostilna na Gradu (Burgrestaurant). Auch hier gilt: sehr gutes Essen (traditionelle Gerichte neu präsentiert), fantastische Weine, sehr guter Service, nicht so niedrige Preise. |

Die Cafeterie des Slowenischen Ethnographischen Museums und in August das ganze Museumsgelände und die Umgebung als Veranstaltungsort des Festivals "Mladi Levi" sind eine fantastische Gelegenheit, durch die Nacht mit Ljubljanas Leuten in Kontakt zu tretten. |

Sir Richard's Bar on Tavcarjeva (turn right one block along Miklosiceva from the hostel towards the station) is a cosy place with a library of books that does snacks and reasonably priced drinks. |

Head for Trg Republike where you'll find the Maxi department store. In the covered shopping mall near the entrance to the Cankarjev Dom Concert Hall and Arts Centre you'll find a large self-service restaurant (open 'till 7pm) that is excellent value for money. |

The Skocjanske Jame. UNESCO World Heritage Site of karstic landscape including an outstanding system of caves which can be visited with a guided tour (Students and Seniors EUR 11). Take the train to Divaca and follow the way-marked path from the station to the caves (about 1 hour's walk). The Gostilna Malovec in Divaca has some reasonably priced rooms and an outstanding restaurant (next to the butcher's shop!) serving delicious traditional Slovenian food. |

| HI Hostel Ljubljana - Youth Hostel Alibi M14ALIBI M14 ist eine nagelneue Jugendherberge in zentraler, aber ruhiger Lage mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern, moderner Ausstattung und sauberen Unterkünften. Die Herberge ist nur 5 Laufminuten von Bahnhof und zentralem Busbahnhof entfernt. In der Nähe findet man außerdem zahlreiche Sehenswürdigkeiten wie die drei Brücken, Preseren-Platz und Ljubljana-Schloss. Wir haben vier schön ausgestattete Doppelzimmer mit eigenem Bad sowie Doppel- und 10-Bett-Zimmer mit Bad auf dem Flur. Darüber hinaus gehören zu unserem Angebot Küche und Internet (gratis).
