For the botanist and artist, the trails and access to native flora is excellent. There are many plants and flowers unique to the coastal habitat. There are a number of rare species one can photograph and document. Access to the California Coastal Trail is just outside the hostel. |

We always hit The Long Life Veggie House on University in Berkely (maybe a half hour drive). Best vegetarian Chinese food I've ever had. |

| HI Hostel Sausalito - Marin Headlandsdie HI-Marin Landspitze liegt auf der Bergseite der Marin Headlands Sektion der Golden Gate National Recreation Area; genau gegenüber der Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. Die beiden historischen Gebäude aus der Zeit der Jahrhundertwende liegen inmitten von Stränden, Wäldern und Hügeln. Die wunderschöne Marin Landspitze bietet sowohl Wanderwege und Mountainbike-Trails, als auch eine interessante Tier- und Pflanzenwelt.
