The Subway down the hill two streets has $5 footlongs and has always been fresh and tasty. The supermarket two blocks over has lots of specials; during my stay there were 25 cent burritos in many flavors, and 99 cent half-gallon lemonades. |

| HI Hostel HI - Monterey Die Herberge liegt sehr günstig in der Nähe von Cannery Row, dem Monterey Aquarium, der historischen Altstadt und Fisherman's Wharf und verfügt über sehr gute Busverbindungen. Ebenfalls nicht weit ist der Monterey Bay Coastal Trail mit Cafés, Geschäften sowie Fahrrad- und Kajakverleih. Das ganze Jahr über kann man Wale beobachten und die nahe gelegenen Orte Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, Carmel Valley, Big Sur und Carmel-by-the-Sea sind unbedingt einen Besuch wert.
