There is an old cinema downtown that shows foreign films. Looked worth a shot. Downtown has a few clubs going, and though I didn't visit any of them, sounds like they have some pretty good local bands. Weekends are lively downtown. |

Point Lobos, Big Sur, Downtown Monterey and the beaches. Get familiar with the Monterey Salinas Transit (MST) system if you don't have a car. It's cheap, on time, and goes just about everywhere. |

Ebenfalls nicht weit ist der Monterey Bay Coastal Trail mit Cafés, Geschäften sowie Fahrrad- und Kajakverleih.
