The Musee Dauphinois is fabulous; you could easily spend a day there. The very modern Grenoble museum is also well worth a visit. Make a point of buying the budget tickets for use with the public transport - the trams are first class. |

I went on to Lyon and like Grenoble was very impressed by the beauty of the architecture and the cleanliness of both cities. Both offer a lesson to other cities in how to make public transport effective and attractive. |

Centre Ville, many bars and a few small (but wierd) nightclubs. The Club "Au Vieux Manoir" is like a castle dungeon, and very very expensive when buying drinks! |
