You probably won't be able to string Flam out for more than a day or two, unless you get on the (expensive) Flam railway, and walk back. Head out of Flam (on the railway) to Burgan or Oslo |

Buying food/drinks from supermarket to do your own cooking seems to be the cheapest meal option as eating out and in fact everything else sold in high streets appear to be much more expensive than expected! |

The visit to the stave-church in Borgund was a disappointment as it is being renovated while transport advice from different Information Centres seemed 'inadequate', confusing or even contradictory. We had to change a few buses (more than being advised) plus do some walking to get there, only to find out that there was no public transport (except one little school bus) to get us out of there! |

| HI Hostel FlåmDie Jugendherberge Flåm liegt am Ende der Flåm-Bahn, der steilsten Bahnstrecke in Norwegen, und am Rallarvegen-Radwanderweg von Haugastøl über Finse (1 222 m über dem Meeresspiegel) nach Vatnahalsen und hinunter ins Flåm-Tal.
