If you are on a tight budget, you can simply drop by 4 square supermarket cooking for yourself. The YHA in Dunedin has really nice cooking facilities, compared to other YHAs, I think. However, you will have to try Great Wall which sells fish and chips with affordable price and good taste. You must try it. One more thing, if you have a mind to see around the campus of Otago University, you should try Capers which is near the campus. It serves nice coffee and good meals. |

Of course, you should visit Cadbury chocolate factory, which is popular even among adult visitors. You must see the chocolate waterfalls there. It is absolutely striking. Also you can enjoy some unique Scotish architecture at Gorge railway station. If your next destination is Queenstown, I think you must take the train. You can see some beautiful spots by the window throughout your travel to Queenstown. Lastly, if you have some budget to spend and like to see some wildlife animals, you can arrange Monarch-Otago peninsula tour. It's absoultely stunning, I mean you won't think you waste your money and time on it. Literally, you will be amazed by just looking at beautiful seals, penguins, albatrosses and even swimming dolphines there. Two thumps up for me! |

If you are lucky, and time is right, you can join a rugby tour at night. On the spot, you can actually watch the game yelling out for the team you like. Of course, you shall probably cheer for Otago. Otherwise, you will be in trouble. Ha ha. it's a joke. |
