1. Souq Waqif in downtown Doha. Be prepared to bargain. Generally, communication is a bit difficult in Doha as not many shopkeepers understand English. Would be good if you can communicate in Urdu/Hindi/South Indian languages as most of the shopkeepers, limo drivers etc are from India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Pakistan. 2. Museum of Islamic Art: opens at 10am. Is at 15 minutes' walking distance from souq waqif. 3. The old fort is also nearby but I could not visit it due to lack of time. 4. Corniche: Is near souq waqif. Don't forget to wear joggers/walking shoes as you will have to walk a lot. |

People told me that Souq Waqif is a very busy place at night time. Not sure if that's true as I did not go there at night. |
