When you go outside you will find many restaurants which offer food to low prices. The food in the hostel is more expensive but they offer western food if you prefer that. I didn't eat at the hostel so I can't tell how good it is. |

The tour to the Great Wall is good. But you will spend the whole day with that. When you are tall the ride is a little bit uncomfortable but that's how it is in China. The tour leaves at about 9am and you will return at about 5pm. But it brings you to a part of the Great Wall which is not too crowded with tourists. You have to expect locals though who want to sell you drinks and souvenirs. Take food and some drinks with you and when you buy stuff you have to bargain. You shouldn't pay more then 20Yuan for a T-shirt (They wanted to charge me 50). Same goes for drinks. It usually 5-10Yuan for water. Always try to get stuff for a cheaper price it usually works. |

Cheap food available all around, there's a bakery on the main road that does nice pastries and good coffee, will set you back 20 yuan for a good breakfast. |

Lots of bars around the lakes. Have a look around, and go to the part the locals go to, beers can go from 15 to 45 yuan. The hostel has lots of recommendation cards. |
