Its Switzerland - there aren't many options! I asked in teh Tourist Information for a "cheap" restarant and still paid 25 Francs (about 16 euros) for a main course and drink aat lunchtime. A few days later in Germany two people ate for less! |

The Historical museum in the Barfusser Kirche is excellent, and just a walk around the town centre. You can't go up the tower in the Munster if you are travlling alone - something to do with the suicide rate in the 1970's, so it's been banned since 1981. Take a friend, or persuade some locals to 'add' you to their group. |

Die Jugendherberge ist ab sofort buchbar!
Die Herberge im eleganten Viertel St. Alban ist in einer alten Familienresidenz am St.-Alban-Kanal untergebracht. Der Kanal verband früher die Baseler Fabriken mit dem Rhein. Von der Herberge aus sind die mittelalterliche Altstadt, das Zentrum und die vielen Galerien leicht zu erreichen. Die Unterbringung erfolgt in Zimmern mit 1 bis 8 Betten und zum Angebot gehören Souvenirshop, TV, Internet, Mahlzeiten und die Möglichkeit zum Wäschewaschen. | mehr...... |
