Flam. Take a boat trip through the beautiful Naerofjord, have a good walk in Flam, sleep well in for example the Flam Hi Hostel, take the Flam railway the next day to Myrdal and walk back to Berekvam (this is a very beautiful walk, I really recommend this!) or, if you have more energy, you can even walk back to Flam. |

- Balestrand itself, it is a peaceful village. - the beautiful woods around Balestrand, for a good walk. - the Fossestien path. - a boat trip on the fjord, for example: 1. an excursion to Fjaerland and the Boya Glacier 2. to Flam via the very beautiful Naerofjord: if you are not travelling alone, it can be cheaper to buy only the boat tickets in the tourist office and then pay the bus to Flam on the bus itself instead of buying combination tickets in the tourist office - as the second person gets discount on a boat or a bus ticket but not on the combination ticket! |

| HI Hostel Balestrand Der Tourismus in Balestrand kann auf eine lange Tradition zurückblicken. Der Ort bietet sehr gute Angel- und Wandermöglichkeiten und verfügt über mehrere Kunstgalerien und historische Stätten. Die Jugendherbere hat erst kürzlich ein Aktivitätszentrum am Fjord gebaut. Hier informieren Aquarien, Modelle und eine Diashow über das Leben im Sognefjord. Außerdem werden Folk-Musik und Aktivitäten im Freien wie Grillen und Angeln angeboten. Alle Schlafzimmer haben eigenes Bad, die meisten auch Balkon. Der Preis für 3-Bett-Zimmer gilt auch für Gruppen/Familien mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 Kindern unter 12 Jahren. Mitglieder erhalten eine Ermäßigung von 15%.
