20 Aug 2011 Jonathan, England & Wales:
I arrived late and wandered around the towns nooks and crannies; 1 part got barked at by ankle biting dogs whilst only wearing flip frops! Lots of eating places available. I ate at a very nice small family run place (villa...I forget!) whilst watching the bull fighting live on tv. It was just up the hill from the town centre, through a narrow-ish street. |

20 Aug 2011 Jonathan, England & Wales:
The view from the castle, and wandering around the narrow windy streets. I arrived too late to tour the interior of the castle. There was a boat cruise along the river to Alcoutim advertised in V.R.Santo Antonio. Looked very appealing. |

Tavira with its picturesue windy streets and ancient stone architecture, eateries tucked in to small areas. There's a short boat journey to Travira island which has a massive beach with areas of great breaking waves for surfing |
