Being STF's highest situated mountain lodge isn’t the only reason why Blåhammaren mountain lodge is worth a visit. The restaurant and kitchen is well known for its delicious three course dinner and you can also get a taste of its highly appreciated fruit soup. The explicit food is complemented by a magnificent view and the history of a fatal military campaign. Blåhammaren is situated 1086 meters over sea level and has got a beautiful view over the mountains of Sylarna, Helags and the nearby Norwegian mountains. A must for your evening activity is to take a walk or ski up to Blåhammarkläppen to enjoy the view over the stream Enan, which twist and turns way down in the valley. Blåhammaren mountain lodge can offer you 56 beds in different kinds of rooms. Shower and toilet is in the hall and all rooms have bunk beds. Sauna with a fantastic viewover the mountains is on offer as well as breakfast, packed lunch and dinner. During the day snacks are available like for example the famous fruit soup. Every evening at 6 pm it’s time for the highlight of the day, the three course dinner, which Blåhammaren is most famous for. The dinner is served in a common sittning and sometimes complemented by the story of Armfeldts soldiers’ campaign that took place in the mountains at new year 1718-19. They were struck by the extreme cold and 3000 men froze to death. Blåhammaren mountain lodge is situated 12 kilometres from Storulvån and 10 kilometres from Rundhögen. | more......
