|
09 Jul 2011 Bernard, Canada:
The Grand Cafe on Divan Yolu Cd (main road) has a rooftop terrace where you can get amazing shots of the Blue Mosque and the water. You have to eat something as it is a cafe but it is well worth the 5TL for baklava. |

09 Jul 2011 Bernard, Canada:
Cappadocia is good for two days. We stayed at Lalezar Hotel and it is a bit out of the way with two guys who run it (besides when they are smoking). Olympos is good for a relaxing time with lots of adventure activities. We stayed at Kadir's and it is only suitable if you are very young, on a limited budget, don't mind lounge areas with cushions that have never been cleaned, and appreciate more than 4 hours sleep (they pump the music til 2, ALL doors squeak so loud they sound like horses, and hot water merely dribbles out of the shower if you're lucky. As for the dorms, they don't have any hot water at all. |

09 Jul 2011 Bernard, Canada:
For 2.5-4TL we had kebabs right at the corner of Divanyolu and Peykhane on your way to the Grand Bazaar. I would normally avoid these places but I saw tonnes of locals eating there and the one closer to Constantine's Column was good. |

15 May 2011 Sharad, USA:
Walking distance to almost all the touristic places, except a palace in New Istanbul, which can be visited as part of pkg tour or by a taxi or with a little extra hassel of taking public transport. |
