Miyajima IS a nice place to see. If you want to see the island, you need to go earlier in the day. I di not realise there was a mountain and other sights on the island there. I just had time to get the ferry there and back, but still worth seeing and can use JR train and ferry and bus to youth hostel - great if you have a JR rail pass. |

04 Feb 2009 Joshua, USA:
Ask the staff at the front desk where is good to eat. They will direct you to a nice Okonomiyaki shop a short walk from the hostel. Hiroshima's okonomiyaki is famous in Japan so you should make sure to try as many different okonomiyaki restaurants as you can while you are there. |
