Not budget, but very good food, The Sea Horse Restaurant in Helsinki. Budget: Eat at the market along the port or inside the old market building-we had excellent food. Also, there is a grocery store two blocks away from the hostel which had very good hours for tourists, open early and closed late.

Turku was a nice 2 day trip by bus. Estonia was a very easy option with a short ferry trip.

HI Hostel Helsinki - Eurohostel

Eurohostel is one of the largest all year around open hostels in Scandinavia. The hostel is located in central Helsinki in a unique part of the town called Katajanokka close by the Market Square and in neighbourhood of Jugendstil buildings. The city centre sights, shops, restaurants are all within walking distance and the ferries from Stockholm and Tallinn arrive just a few steps away.
