Not exactly budget, but mid-range, check out Rebar Modern Food. I had one of the best meals I've ever had there - yam & pepita quesadilla. The Dutch Bakery is good too, yummy "saucer" cookies which are sandwich cookies with marzipan in the middle.

I actually forgoed nightlife as I worried I would stay out late then sleep in and then not be able to use the bathroom in the morning as the hostel shut it down for 3 hours!!
