18 Aug 2008 Ann, Australia:
Whistler and Vancouver Island are both great.
Don't miss... 06 Aug 2008 Ben, Canada:
The international fireworks competition on English Bay, the large resourceful downtown public library for research purposes, completely accessible around-town self walking tours ranging from 1 hour to six hour trips. Also, sit on the visitor's VIP seat at the front of the Sky Train. You get a personal POV above-ground East/West tour of Vancouver for only $3.75 (Roughly 1 hr. & 15 min. in length). Your transit pass also include a short 15 minute ferry ride from downtown Vancouver to North Van shore. My best suggestion is an all access, all zones bus/ferry/sky train day pass for $9.00 per adult.
Don't miss... 13 Aug 2008 Mija, South Korea:
Graville Island and Londsdale the north Vancouver.
For good eats check out... 06 Aug 2008 Ben, Canada:
Cheap international flavored meals all along Davies Street and by the English Bay Beach area. Also, after hours all-you-can-eat sushi buffet from 9:30 pm to 12 midnight with no restrictions by English Bay and Davies. Chinatown also offered a number of inexpensive eateries. If you are a pasta lover, for under $12.00, you can have a fantastic complete dinner, salad/soup, bread loaf, ice cream and tea/coffee at the Spaghetti Factory at the end of Gastown. Be prepared to line up for more than half hour during lunch and supper rush hours. Be careful of beggars and crack addicts coming to bother you if you do choose to sit in the outside terrace portion of the restaurant. There are also some very inexpensive eateries in the Richmond Chinatown district near the airport area. By spring 2009, the Sky Train will reach that area from the downtown hostels within 20 minutes' time. Food is cheap in Vancouver, you don't need to cook your own private meals to save money. Also, there is no cooking area provided at the downtown HI. So, don't bring your own food unless they can be cooked in a microwave.
