Victoria, Vancouver Island, yates Street..... used the dormitory for the first time in my life and was pleasantly surprised! Enjoyed the experience. Having quiet time between 9pm and 9am is a wonderful idea as is lights out at 11pm.

Any of the tours with Eric - on Tuesdays and Fridays starting off at Downtown YH. Delightful walks. The one to Capilano Dam does involve a walk through a rain forest which is quite hilly.

The kabob/gyro place just North of the hostel on Granville. Fantastic kabob (extra spicy if you want it that way). There are plenty of cheap grab-and-go meals in the area, though most aren't open until the clubs open.
