Toronto Islands by ferry-great view of the skyline, walk through the neighborhood on the island-rent a bike to get there. Take a picnic with you or stop at the beer garden. Take a blanket and relax by the river or beach.

The beaches neighborhood on the east side of the city. Kew gardens is there, a public pool (elevated above street level) Outdoor pubs and cafes, public library (if you want to surf the net) Boardwalk that you can cycle, roller blade or walk on that connects to downtown. Bata shoe museum, Royal Ontario Museum (which I think is free on Wednesdays) So much to do!
