The comp food (breakfast) offered was just ... ok. The frozen waffles are positively gross though. Please add other simpler items like instant oatmeal or cereals as well to balance it out.

ALCARTAZ!! the best $26 dollars i spent. A full day (if you want it to be) of fascinating stuff. Do not miss it. Nice walk up to Fort Point and the Golden Gate Bridge from the hostel. BOOK THE TRIP TO YOSEMITE! - HI Midpines too. It sounds like a lot of cash but its soooo worth it. The place is amazing! And if you've been travelling on a budget, probably the best meal (included in the price) you'll of had in a while too! lol.

Short on time = Catch the Cal Train to Monterey ($18) for a couple of days. Time to spare = Hire a car and drive to LA. Check out Cambria & SLO. See the most amazing coast. Stay at HI Santa Monica.
