The People's Co-Op on Voltaire....it's about a 15 minute walk (or 5 min. bus ride,) and they have a second floor cafe with delicious, fresh vegetarian fare. Cheap, too! |

Haha, I found the nightlife to be far too expensive for my budget! |

Ocean beach, a little bohemian neighborhood with surf shops and other neat boutiques right by the beach. Also, La Jolla cove...it's almost an hour away by bus, but so gorgeous and totally worth the trip. Balboa park is cool, too, and many of the museums and other attractions there are free on Tuesdays. |
