We had a lovely meal in a Brewery Pub that server Pyramid Hefferveisen beer, it was on our way back from Old Town just a 5 minute walk from hostel. One of our best meals we had a great pizza and amazing salad with feta cheese and olives. Shared a plate of wings, had great beer and lovely brownie dessert. Great place!

A walk to Old town. If you are in to shopping Macy's had a great sale on when we where there.... lots of bargains that you wouldn't get in the bigger cities of San Francisco.

HI Hostel Sacramento

HI Sacramento hostel is an elegant 1885 Victorian mansion in the heart of downtown Sacramento, within walking distance of the Old Sacramento historic district, the Sacramento River, museum and the State Capitol. Need to go further? Why not raft down the American River, take a day trip to Gold Rush towns and Lake Tahoe or cycle the oak-lined American River bikeway. Accommodations are in shared, gender-specific or mixed dorm rooms, or in private rooms. Most rooms have shared bathrooms, but one private room with private bath is available. Guest may choose to stay in:
