Closest reasonably priced food was Half Moon Bay - Nearby were expensive meals - The hostel had a nice large well-equipped kitchen. If you are an early riser & you drink coffee, take your own & make it - Closest coffee available at 9AM for $2.50 per cup at KOA hotel & campground - Buffet breakfast is $15.00 on Sunday - I don't know about the rest of the week - Pies at Pie Ranch look sunken in & cost $23.00. They do sell a limited variety of fresh vegetables & fruit reasonably priced |

Pie Ranch every third Saturday of the month - Barn dance (Square Dancing with a live band & caller) - It was packed with people having a great time - Earlier in the evening you can take food to a potluck - It is a totally organic farm - From 2:00 to 6:00 PM you can work as a volunteer on the farm (chores vary). |

The area itself is breathtaking - Great for a scenic hike, biking or kicking back & relaxing. There is berry picking most of the year (types of berries vary depending upon time of year) - Cost averaged $2.50 per basket. |
