There's a Mediterranean place on Broadway that has the most amazing houmous you've ever tasted as well as other gorgeous food. The pizza place over the road does a huge (you're in America every slice of pizza is huge) slice for $2 and it's open really late which is aaaaallllways good. I got a nice peach from the guy on the corner of Broadway but the mango I got tasted like soap...
For great nightlife try... 28 Aug 2009 Sam, England & Wales:
Go on the pub tour from the hostel, because some of the bars are quite nice, and it's a good way to meet other travellers

The Staten Island ferry trip from the hostel is really good, and when I went I had the what were in my opinion the best views of New York, Brooklyn and Manhattan at sunset and then at night time when they're all lit up and pretty :) and the pizza's pretty good too! Go see the turtles in the turtle pond in, and go see Alice In Wonderland, and go on the swings and walk round the lake in an anti-clockwise direction because you have to! Just enjoy it! Because it's an amazing city and there is so much to do so don't spend too much time in one place!
Don't miss... 04 Sep 2009 Richard, Australia:
Jerrys city tour at the hostel. Best day I spent in NYC
Don't miss... 29 Aug 2009 Hayley, Australia:
Top of the Rock - forget the lines at the Empire State Building (it's prettier from the outside anyway) and hit the Top of the Rock!
07 Sep 2009 Claire, USA:
Washington DC, Boston, Philadelphia and Chicago of course!
For great nightlife try... 27 Aug 2009 Christopher, USA:
Paul's trips to bars were great (except Pacha), if you're looking to relax for a night, try the AMC 25 theatre on 42nd at times square
Don't miss... 27 Aug 2009 Christopher, USA:
Harlem, It's neat to walk around and just people watch. Also, take the Hostel's walking tours
